We have hosted a wide variety of diverse groups such as car clubs, hobbyists and arts groups as well as corporate events. Here are just a few:
Rome … Milan … Little River? We love to see the parking lot filled with classic cars, so one of our favorite repeat groups is Cal Mille. Started by San Francisco’s own Martin Swig, this incredible car club pioneered an “amazing run along the Pacific” for classic race cars, bringing more that 1500 historic vehicles to the most scenic parts of Highway 1 and countless back roads of Northern California. The hallmark of the California Mille is simply – motoring. For almost two decades, this nonprofit event has focused on the pure pleasure of driving cars that could have qualified for the original 1927-1957 Mille Miglia in Italy. In 2008 their1000-mile route once again included a weekend stay at Little River Inn.
Little River Inn hosts a Hooker Holiday. Not the kind you think, though - these are incredibly talented, nationally-acclaimed Rug Hookers. Every year since 2004 Laura Pierce has hosted an intimate Rug Camp here at the Inn. When we asked them what keeps them coming back year after year they complimented us on our relaxed atmosphere, exceptional dining and incredible ocean views. Each Rug Camp begins with a Sunday afternoon reception in our Abalone Room which becomes their home for the week, and after five years it does indeed feel as if they have become a part of the Inn’s extended family.
Power Babes and Power Dudes? Not a conference of weightlifters, these week long workshops are produced by Linda Chandler’s executive mentoring program. Back by popular acclaim (literally) for their 8th year at Little River Inn, Linda Chandler has been wowing audiences for a long time within the financial services industry and has a devoted following who attend her dynamic programs.
A different kind of business! Christina Johnson created “Bouquet of Tango” that includes highly regarded dance instructors, dancing three hours a day and “milongas “( a Tango party) each night in our beautiful ocean view Abalone Hall. Little River Inn provides the balance of the “bouquet”, intimate wine tastings, a cooking demonstration with edible flowers, hikes at the Botanical Gardens and four nights at our beautiful Inn.
