McDog Parks are public off leash dog friendly spaced, open from dawn to dusk. Dogs must be licensed, spayed or neutered and well-behaved off-leash
Mendocino McDog Park –fenced field
at 998 School Street in Mendocino.
Noyo Jetty McDog Park – ocean beach
at the end of North Harbor Drive in Fort Bragg.
Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens
The gardens are located eight miles north on Highway 1.
There is a $14 per person admission charge, no charge for pets. Dogs must be on 6 ft leash.
LOCAL STATE PARKS
California State Parks require all dogs to be on a 6 foot leash. These state parks offer great beach walks; however, for safety and sanitation reasons, dogs are not allowed on the state park forested hiking trails.
